7 useful tips to teach Dyslexia Students

Dyslexia is “reading disabilities” and people suffering from dyslexia face problems in reading, writing and spelling words or text. Being a private tutor, I have handled tutoring classes for 5 Dyslexia students. And proud to say all 5 of them are doing well now. Since I get tutoring opportunities for Dyslexia students, I made a decision to know more about the disease, and steps to cure them. I have started to research on this and found out that 95% of dyslexia is curable when it is noted earlier and if proper treatment is given.

Poverty among the urban population has many deterring effects and foremost of them would be inability to fulfill basic needs and the absence of cohesion within the community. In such an unfavorable scenario, differently abled persons in urban slums are doubly marginalized and vulnerable since they have to bear the brunt of socio economic status coupled with their physical/mental conditions. Apart from toiling under grave poverty, ripped off basic amenities, the differently abled have very less access to medical facilities and are denied support services. Inaccessibility to therapeutic measures is a part of economic deficiency and low self esteem characterized in differently abled is attributed to the need for belonging and self sufficiency.

That day he had left for home early when a bomb exploded in the suburban local at Khar Road station. His spinal cord was damaged due to the explosion and some particles are still embedded in his chest and close to the trachea.

“My dream is to visit a big factory” was the innocent reply we got from Muthuvel when we asked him about his ambition in life. Muthuvel hails from an economically challenged rural family with very little education and no one to give directions to achieve his dream. He has a family of two sisters and ageing parents to support .He lost his hearing ability during his 11th year due to an accident and his school education was truncated and was listless in life.
