Loan for Purchase of Assistive Devices

  • Loan upto 2 lakh
  • Interest rate 4%p.a
  • Assistive Devices including retrofitted devices.

Loan for Vocational Studies

  • Concessional loan upto 2 lakh
  • Interest rate 6%p.a
  • Auto cad, Web Desigining, Computer Software/Hardware courses, Office Management and Secretarial Courses etc.,

Become a Successful entrepreneur

  • 100% Grant to training Institutions for Skill training to Handicapped Persons.
  • Also stipend of Rs. 1000/- per persons per month

Education Loan for Higher Studies

  • 1Interest rate 4%p.a
  • Upto Rs. 10Lakh for studies in India
  • Upto Rs. 20Lakh for studies in Abroad

Concessional Credit for Self-Employment

  • Interest rate 5.8%p.a
  • Loan upto Rs. 25Lakh
  • Loan for self-employment, education and training are available to persons with disabilities

2000 Scholarship for Student with Disabilities

  • Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses
  • For Graduate and Post Graduate Courses
  • Covers admission fee, Tution fee, Maintenance allowance, Hostel Fee
  • Income not more than 3.lakh/1.80 lakh p.a respectively for two types of scholarship

Handholding Support to Institution for PWDs

  • Grant upto Rs. 1000/- per PWD
  • Information, support, guidance to PWSs for obtaining loan
  • Grant available to institutions empanelled iwth NHFDC only

Loan to NGO’s for their Capacity Expansion

  • Loan upto 5 lakh
  • NGO should be working in the area of disability
  • The capacity expansion on behalf of group of PWDs

Loan for Developing Business premises

  • Loan upto 2 lakh
  • interest rate 6%p.a

The National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) has been set up by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India on 24th January 1997. The company is registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 as a Company not for profit. It is wholly owned by Government of India and has an authorised share capital of Rs. 400 crores (Rupees Four Hundred Crore only). The company is managed by Board of Directors nominated by Government of India.
NHFDC functions as an Apex institution for channelising the funds to persons with disabilities through the State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) nominated by the State Government(s) .
