Deepam means ‘Light’. Light to life. We started Deepam in 2002 with the intention based on throwing away the ‘poverty’ and ‘Ignorance’ from the human 
being. Ignorance leads to disease, tension, worries….death. Poverty leads to unhealthy society.
The founder had a vision to feed the hunger-poorest of the poor and imparting ‘value based education’ to the society in order to have true, honest, healthy, wealthy and wise society. The founder formed a group of social minded youngsters as volunteers to serve the society. Within few years a big volunteer group has been formed and now Deepam Trust has been doing wonderful service to its part. Deepam was registered in 2007 as a public trust.
