Inclusion or Schemes – Which one do you want?

Since 2010 we created many changes and brought big impacts in this society, the wide range of participation of the differently abled people created recognition for them. It is encouraging but we cannot be happy or proud about it.

Changing our identity or changing our names will not create any different in this society that everyone knows. No government or any person or any organization cannot be able to change an individual identity, there is no use if they try to changed the names like differently abled person or physically challenged person it is not going to bring any different in our life.

The truth is we need to accept what we are and what we need to grow in our self-confident, and we need to understand how we can make use of our disability.  We need to fight for our rights not for the offers which government provides. In this world people are fighting for job, position, recognition, caste, religion language etc., and they forgot to trust themselves but we are not like that we know how we become strong from our weakness.

We need to refuse the offers but we need to fights for rights, if I say refuse the offers people might think but I wanted to say something now God make everything double strong except our body. It has been proved scientifically but still many people do not understand or feel about it. We know the people who believe this they become top of world.

Instead of getting separate compartment we need to get the facility in every compartment in train journey.

Why we need more focus on Inclusion and Accessibility?

This world has forgotten that everyone will be facing physical disability in their age of 40s and 60s they need someone to help.

More than a billion people are estimated to live with some form of disability, or about 15% of the world’s population (based on 2010 global population estimates). The global share of older people (aged 60 years or over) increased from 9.2 per cent in 1990 to 11.7 per cent in 2013 and will continue to grow as a proportion of the world population, reaching 21.1 per cent by 2050 ( based on world population ageing 2013).

Inclusion and accessibility are two of the most basic fundamental rights for persons with disabilities and elderly persons. Its makes life easier, healthier and friendly for a diverse population.

Every Business Enterprise should aware about why accessibility and Inclusion are good for a Business. In reality, they have lost a high value potential customer.

Today our duty is to make the government or private organisation to think that they cannot avoid the people who increased in numbers (People with Disability and Ageing ).

At the end, we need to avoid the offers but we have ability and knowledge to get everything through our hard-work. Only thing is every Government and Private Sector should create the way for that.

  1. Instead of getting separate compartment we need to get the facility in every compartment in train journey. separate compartment in train instead of providing facility in every compartment is easier, cheaper and creates gratitude and belonging to the provider by the user. Government and advocates of inclusion should think over this. it is also true that merely change in name or declaring inclusion will not any change in the position of the disabled. they are part of the society and should be accepted and treated as they are. merely inclusion on paper will not solve the problem.

  2. Well said Satha, always ability is stronger than disability. There are no excuses in life to get succeeded, a thought provoking article.

  3. Good one Satha. It is really important that everyone should keep their self confidence high and fight for rights not for offers or freebies. Thanks for the facts.

  4. Nice article Satha. Shared lot of facts in it. % of people over age 60 is doubling in 2050 compared to 2012.
