Award winning films from across the world have been selected to give this year’s Fest a global perspective to disability and inclusion. They range from the highly acclaimed “Praying with Lior” and ‘Temple Grandin’ (USA), the spirited ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ and “Children of the Moon” (Germany) to the poignant ‘Mother’ (Korea) and the heartwarming ‘After Thomas’ (UK). The short films include the feisty ‘Fixing Luka’ (Scotland) and the endearing ‘Anything You Can Do’ (UK).

This year, the inaugural function at 6.30 pm on Monday October 13 showcases our very own Tamil Blockbuster Deiva Thirumagal ,screened for the first time in India with audio description (audio description is a pre recorded narrative describing what is happening on the screen in between dialogues so as to enhance the cinema viewing experience for blind people). Director A.L.Vijay will grace the occasion along with the cast of the film.

Entry to the Fest is free, but everyone needs to carry a delegate pass. Passes will be available at the Ability Foundation office (26, 2nd Cross Street, Gandhinagar, Adyar, Chennai 600020) on October 7 and 8(Fri, Sat) from 10 AM to 4 PM, and from 9am on October 10 at the venue. Do let us know how many passes you would like us to reserve for you. Please contact +918939675544 for information and passes.

We do look forward to having you with us in celebrating the spirit of cinema!
