JSS Polytechnic for Differently abled – Admission notification 2014-15

JSSApplications are invited from differently abled student for admission (on All India Basis) to the following three year diploma courses for the year 2014-15:

  1.  ARCHITECTURE
  2. COMMERCIAL PRACTICE Aided Courses
  3. COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
  4.  JEWELLERY DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY
  5. ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING Unaided Courses
  6. COMPUTER APPLICATIONS FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Eligibility: A pass in Karnataka SSLC or its equivalent examination with minimum 35% of marks along
with Nature & Degree of Disability : (a) Orthopaedically Handicapped – 40% & above, (b) Hearing
Impaired – 60db & above – For Courses 1 to 5 and (c) Partial and total Visual Impaired – For Courses 2
& 6.

For Jewellery Design and Technology Course, Normal students are also eligible for admission under
JSS Mahavidyapeetha Scheme.

Selection: Based on merit and performance in entrance test conducted in the institute.
The knowledge of Braille Language (English) is preferred for Visually Impaired students. Campus
placements are facilitated. Limited separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls.
Application forms can be obtained from the above address on payment of Rs.100/- for general
category and Rs.50/- for SC/ST/C-I in cash or MO / DD drawn in favour of PRINCIPAL, JSS PDA payable
at MYSORE or application can also be downloaded directly from the Website. For further details, visit
