M.S. Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation is a registered Non-Profit, Non-Government, Secular Organisation founded in the year 1992 by Dr. M.S.Chellamuthu Trust and Research FoundationC.Ramasubramanian, Consultant Psychiatrist in the temple city of Madurai.


To enhance the Quality of Life of the Persons with Mental Disabilities and facilitate their reintegration in the environment of their choice.


  1. To assess the Psycho- Social needs of the persons with mental disabilities and offer individualized psychosocial services that would enhance their quality of life.
  2. Mobilize resources both within and outside the community, for the rehabilitation of the persons with mental disabilities
  3. Educate parents and thereby ensure better participation in the process of rehabilitation.
  4. Work towards the elimination of stigma in the community.
  5. Mobilize social support that would facilitate the process of reintegration.
  6. Initiate research in the field of rehabilitation and contribute knowledge development.
  7. Network with similar organizations and lobby for the rights of the persons suffering from mental disabilities.

US$ 75 per month will provide support for medical and food expenses and education expenses/vocational training of a child/adult suffering from mental disabilities. Alternatively you can support the following different expenses individually:

US $ 40 per month (approx. Rs. 1500/-) towards meeting the food expenses of a person with Mental illness.
US $ 25 per month (approx. Rs. 1000/-) towards meeting the medical expenses of a person with Mental Illness
US $ 10 per month (approx. Rs. 500/-) towards the education of a child with Mental Retardation
US $ 10 per month (approx. Rs.500/-) per month towards vocational training

  1. good evening,i m mohammad aijaz,residing in mumbai,my age is 39.i m suffering from hypertention,insomia,depression & enzyte,at the age of 17years i start consulting psychatrist so from last 22 years i m under medication.earlier i wasn;t able to work or study but from last five years i m regularly working,at the age of 35 i got married i have one son.i never been dismissed from job regarding my illness as i havn’t told but i keep changing job but from last 2years i had a quick improvement in health i was doing well in job but i was eliminated after that i m finding more difficult to exist at any job bcos some people are showing their jelousy & i m unable to form their way of treat & behaviour so pls tell me in mumbai if there is any kind of your ngo is there where i could get job & work easily i need help in during job regarding my illness but some people shows rether than helping they hit me on my weak point so please sir let me know & also could i start small scale home based self employed business even i want to support those who are in same problem but at least sincerely 40% effort they can give in any profession.scorrpinn@gmail.com
