1. VEHICLE STANDS
Municipal Corporation/Municipalities/NACs and Railway authorities, auction the vehicle stands/parking places. The PWDs may apply for the same to concerned authorities. The concerned authorities should consider the PWDs on top priority basis. It may be given either to individual PWD or a group of PWDs considering the volume of work.
2. SHOE STANDS
There are shoe stands at religious places, hospitals etc. The PWDs may approach to concerned authorities with a request to allot shoe stands to them and such authorities are requested to consider the applications of PWDs on priority basis.
3. APOLOFED/MILK SOCIETIES/FOOD PARLOURS
Allotment of APOLOFED/MILK SOCIETIES/FOOD PARLOURS basically in urban areas is good earning venture. The PWDs are advised to apply to APOLOFED/OMFED authorities for allotment of booths.
4. SCHEMES FOR PREFERENTIAL ALLOTMENT
The development authorities, housing board, local bodies/ authorities etc. construct shopping complexes, kiosks. Section-43 of PWD Act, 1995 says – ‘The appropriate Government and local authorities shall by notification, form schemes in favour of PWDs for the preferential allotment of land at concessional rates for setting up business establishment or factories by entrepreneurs with disabilities. The PWDs may take advantage of the Act provision for getting allotment of land/shop/kiosk
