A special school for disabled children started in the year 1995. It has been recognized by the Special commissioner for disabled, Government of Tamilnadu, India. It has 95 various kinds of disabled children who are receiving formal education from grades 6 to 12. The school provides room and board for its students.
In order to provide a barrier-free atmosphere conducive to learning, the girls and boys with disability are accommodated in two separate blocks which have ramps and suitable sanitary facilities.
