விழாவில் இரண்டு கால்களும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு கல்வி பயிலும் 29 மாற்றுத் திறன் படைத்த மாணவ, மாணவியின் இணைப்பு சக்கரங்கள் பொருத்தப்பட்ட மின்சார ஸ்கூட்டர்களும், 11 நபர்களுக்கு மூன்று சக்கர சைக்கிள்களும், 10 நபர்களுக்கு சக்கர நாற்காலிகளும், மூளை மற்றும் முடக்குவாதத்தால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட 1 நபருக்கு சிறப்பு சக்கர நாற்காலிகளும் அமைச்சர்கள் வழங்கினார்கள்

The secular, non partisan, Non profitable, Non religious, Non political society of CITIZEN DEVELOPMENT CENTRE has been given birth and registered on 10-01-1997 under T.N. Society Regd. Act 27 of 1975 Regd. No. 9/1997. CDC is also committed to complete elimination of poverty in its service area.
The main objective of the Scheme is to assist the needy disabled persons in procuring durable sophisticated and scientifically manufactured , modern, standard aids and appliances that can promote their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation, by reducing the effects of disabilities and enhance their economic potential
“Like a spring the beginning of all things are small.” It happened to be the same with Life Help Centre when we incepted the tiny seeds of service to the handicapped in the year 1977. This organization started its service in a rented building at Adyar, Chennai which shifted soon to its own campus on 11.52 acres situated at Palavakkam which is towards the south of Chennai on the East Coast Road, in June 1983.
The Scheme aims at helping the disabled persons by bringing suitable, durable, scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances within their reach. The estimates, according to 58th Sample Survey conducted by NSSO in 2002, indicate that there are about 18.04 million persons with various types of disabilities in the country.
