பிறந்தது முதல் வளர் பருவகுழந்தை வரை உள்ள செவித்திறன் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளின் ஆரம்பநிலை பாதிப்பைக் கண்டறிந்து அக்குழந்தைகள் 5வது வயது அடைவதற்குள் அவர்களுக்கு மொழி மற்றும் பேச்சு பயிற்சி வழங்கி அவர்களை சாதாரண பள்ளியில் சேர்த்து ஒருங்கிணைக்க வழிவகை செய்கிறது.

EARLY INTERVENTION CENTRE FOR INFANT AND YOUNG CHILDREN WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT IN 31 DISTRICTS.
| 1. | Gist of the Scheme | Infant and young children with Hearing Impairment are given training to develop Speech and Language skills so as to getintegrated into Normal School by the time they attain the age of 5 years. |
| 2. | Eligibility Criteria for admission | Young children with Hearing Impairment without any additional disabilities in the age group of 0-3 years are eligible for admission. |
| 3. | Whether form of application is prescribed | Yes. Available with District Differently Abled Welfare Office. |
| 4. | Certificates to be furnished | Birth Certificate and National Identity Card for the Differently Abled. |
