The 2nd National Wheelchair Basketball Championship will be held from 2nd December to 6th December 2015 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex, Indraprastha, New Delhi. As we are striving to promote this sport for the benefit of people with disabilities, we feel happy for planning this on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3rd Dec.).
The Championship is organized by the Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India (WBFI) in partnership with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Government of India and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The opening ceremony will be held on December 2, 2015 at 11 am, starting with an Exhibition match by Children from Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust. Several dignitaries from Government, Corporates and NGOs will grace the opening and closing ceremonies as well as witness the championship proper.
