AICB Krishnawanti and Manoharlal Memorial Excellence Awards
These Awards will be presented each year at a public function to be held at the premises of All India Confederation of the Blind in Rohini, Delhi, on January 4, the Birth Anniversary of Louis Braille.
The first of these Awards is intended for the visually impaired student securing first/second position at the M. Phil examination in any subject except Music and Fine Art, at a recognized university in the country. The Award carries cash prize of Rs. 25,000.00 and a Citation. Eligible candidates may forward by post their applications on the prescribed form available on the website to AICB office latest by 31st October 2015.
Second Award is intended for a visually impaired individual securing highest position among visually impaired candidates taking UPSC’s Civil Services Examination. The Award carries a Cash prize of Rs. 51,000.00 and a Citation.
Aket Kansil Memorial Award
Mr. Ajay Kansil and Mrs. Anu Kansil of Delhi have instituted an Award in memory of their only son, Aket kansil. The Award is intended for the visually impaired student securing first position among visually impaired students appearing at Plus 2 (Class-12) Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The Award carries a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.00 and a Citation. Eligible candidates may forward by post their applications on the prescribed form available on this website so as to reach AICB office latest by 30th September 2015. Final selection of the winner will be made on the basis of certificates from CBSE to the effect that the individual has secured first position among visually impaired students at the Plus 2 examination for the given year.
