Scheme of Assistance to disabled persons for purchase/fitting of aids/appliances

The Scheme aims at helping the disabled persons by bringing suitable, durable, scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances within their reach. The estimates, according to 58th Sample Survey conducted by NSSO in 2002, indicate that there are about 18.04 million persons with various types of disabilities in the country.

The Scheme of Scholarship is operated by union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment through State Governments to disabled persons from the 9th class

If the interaction between the parents and the child is proper and methodical, the hearing impaired child can start learning the vocabulary and develop language structures along with the development of communication skills easily,we may say rather spontaneously. These children have the same innate capacity to learn language as that of a hearing one. They shouldn’t be under estimated. But slow learning should be attributed to the fact that such children haven’t heard any language.
