At the age of two Pradeep Raj got afflicted with polio. His both lower legs were affected. He started his formal education when he was admitted to a Special School ‘Amar Jyoti’. He used a wheelchair to move around when he was small but after sometimes he started using orthosis.
I had Polio in 1956 & I was almost normal up to 1997 when I had a freak accident involving my good leg i.e. the left one which resulted in fractures to the tibia & fibula. That was when I was 42 years. Now I find everything to be disabled unfriendly.
One wonders what to write when asked to write about one self. (At least I believe so!) I thought my life is so simple, so normal and so naïve like any other girl. Until I came to know suddenly that I am physically challenged.

An average figure worldwide is approximately 1 in 25,000 births.It results in abnormally short stature and is the most common cause of short stature with disproportionately short limbs.There is disorder of bone growth.
