BRIGHT – The learning Centre, a school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Dyslexia (learning disabilities) & other developmental 
Delays, started in the year 2004 with a motto of ” Building a Brighter Tommorow ” and to make them more independent.
The school caters to the needs of the children by providing Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Phtsiotherapy, yoga – Naturopathy, Relationship Development Intervention & Remedial Educaton. Different methodologies & strategies are used in all the above mentioned therapies.
SPEECH THERAPY
Speech and Language Therapy
Speech therapy at Bright Learning Center provides diagnostic and therapeutic service for children of all ages. The ability to communicate and perform basic daily living skills are the foundation for successful participation in family, social and academic activities.
We provide a full range of services for Autism, ADHD & LD children who have speech, language and oral-motor disorders These include initial screenings, parent consultation, comprehensive Evaluation, scheduled individual and group therapy sessions.
Speech Therapy is provided using different strategies like oral imitation, oro – motor coordination, picture reading, and sight word – sentence reading using different methodologies.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapy is the art and science of directing man’s participation in selected task, to restore, reinforce and enhance performance, facilitate learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, diminish or correct pathology and to promote and maintain health.
The major approaches used are:
1. Sensory inteegrstion Therapy
2. Behaviour Therapy
3. Cognitive Therapy
4. Neuro – Developmental Therapy
MUSIC THERAPY
Music is a universal language. It influences all levels of human existence. It is a medium for communication, which can be both a pleasant and hearing experience. Modern science and medicine are now rediscovering the hearing powers of music and music therapy. The specialised use of music in treating persons with special needs in mental and physical health rehabilitation and special education is gaining ground.
Music as Therapy
Music allows us to transcend the everyday states of consciousness and travel to places that we have a memory of or create in one imagination. This process of transcending the mundane evokes psycho physiologic responses when people shift to altered states of consciousness.
To Conclude
Music can play an effective role in keeping us lead better, fruitful lives. Listening to specific kinds of music at specific times of the day has been shown to be helpful in maintaining good attention and concentration span in Autistic, CP and ADHD children.
