Journeys without Barriers (JwB), a wing of Travel Another India, is an initiative that provides the experience of barrier-free travel for an emerging global market- that of persons with disabilities and senior citizens.

மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு நீச்சல் பயிற்சி

நீச்சல் பயிற்சி மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு மிகவும் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்தகவும், உடலை ஆரோக்கியமாக வைத்துக்கொள்ள உதவும் மிகச்சிறந்த பயிற்சி ஆகும். தற்போது மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு உலக அளவிலும் இந்திய அளவிலும் நீச்சல் போட்டிகள் நடைபெற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. இதில் கலந்து கொள்வது மூலம் உலகாளவில் நடைபெறும் போட்டிகளில் கலந்து கொள்ள ஒரு அரிய வாய்ப்பு ஏற்படும்.

The Scheme aims at helping the disabled persons by bringing suitable, durable, scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances within their reach. The estimates, according to 58th Sample Survey conducted by NSSO in 2002, indicate that there are about 18.04 million persons with various types of disabilities in the country.

The Scheme of Scholarship is operated by union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment through State Governments to disabled persons from the 9th class
onwards for general technical or professional education. The scholarship is awarded all kinds of handicapped students subject to their obtaining of at least 40% marks at the last annual examination.
