We Care Film Fest 2012

Travelling film festival: Screenings are organized at 25 venues including educational institutions, universities and hospitals across India and the SAARC countries (Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan). The next edition of the festival will begin in August 2011 and conclude in May 2012. We are expecting approximately 10,000 audience will watch and rate each and every film/documentary.

நிகழும் கார்த்திகை மாதம் 9 ஆம் நாள் (21.08.2011) ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை காலை 9.30 மணியளவில் ஈரோடு, மல்லிகை அரங்கத்தில் ஈரோடு,நீலகிரி,கோவை,திருப்பூர், நாமக்கல் மற்றும் சேலம் மாவட்டங்களை சேர்ந்த மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளை திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளும் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் மற்றும் மாற்றுத்தினாளிகளை நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ளவர்கள் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதற்கான சுயவரம் நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற உள்ளது.

எண்ணிக்கை அடிப்படையில் பார்க்கப்போனால் என்.ஜி.ஓ.க்களை ஒப்பிடும்போது டி.பி.ஓ.க்கள் மிக மிகக் குறைவு. கேலிபர், ஆர்விக், அக்‌ஷயா போன்ற சில அமைப்புகள் தமிழக அளவில் டி.பி.ஓ.க்களாக சிறப்பாக செயல்படுகின்றன. தமிழகத்திலேயே அதிகளவில் (சுமார் 1,14,000) மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் வசிக்கும் மாவட்டம் என்பதால், கோவையை தலைமையகமாக கொண்டு இவர்களுக்கான அமைப்புகள் பலவும் இயங்குகின்றன.

அன்பானவர்களே! ஒரு கதவு மூடினால் இன்னொரு கதவு திறக்கும் என்பார்கள். ஆம்! ஒவ்வொருவருக்குள்ளும் இன்னொரு மாற்றுத்திறன் இருக்கிறது. அதைத் தேடிக் கண்டுபிடிக்க வேண்டும். தேடலில்தானே வாழ்க்கையின் வெற்றி அடங்கி இருக்கிறது. அந்த வெற்றிதான் வாழ்க்கையில் மிகப்பெரிய மாற்றத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்துகின்றது.

Yet, it remains a city that is non-interfering and one that lets you be. As a woman and as a woman with disability, Bangalore has given me both anonymity and welcomed me with open arms.
