The Budget has Promised assistance to states for setting up Braille presses and the extension of a scheme to Allow the disabled to purchase contemporary Assistive Devices.

Aids and facilities for differently abled : Budget 2014
For the visually impaired, a proposal for special textbooks, Braille on the currency notes has been put forward. Along with that, 15 new Braille presses are to be established and revival of 10 existing has been announced.
