2nd Tamil Nadu State level Chess Tournament for the Visually Impaired

Tamil Nadu Braille Chess Association (TNBCA) will conduct the State level Chess Tournament for the Visually Challenged from 25.12.2014 to 26.12.2014 [Thursday & friday] at swami Vivekananda Vidyamandir (CBSE school), Harveypatti, Thirupparankundram, Madurai – 625 005 with the approval of All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) Mumbai.

This Tournament is jointly organized with the logistics support of New Vision Friends Club of St.louis and Litter Flower Aluminize Chennai and Raj College of education, Harveypatti, Thirupparankundram and the technical support will be provided by TNBCA as suggested by the sponsors OF Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary of Tamilnadu to commemorate the contemplation of swami Vivekananda in Kanniyakumari.

Details of the tournament

• Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Chess players only to be allowed to participate in this tournament.
• Total prize amount is Rs.15, 000 for 20 prizes
• Boarding and Lodging will be provided from 24th Evening to 26th evening of December 2014.
• There is no entry fee for this tournament.
• Travel allowance Rs.100/- will be given only for players.
• TNBCA Registration is compulsory.
• TNBCA registration fee Rs. 50 for the financial year 2014-2015 is to be paid.
• Registered players need not pay again for 2014-2015
• Players registering with TNBCA should submit duly filled and signed with TNBCA form
• Registration form should be submitted along with a proof of their Date of Birth Certificate and one passport size Photograph.
• All players have to bring their own equipment for writing the game. Writing of game is compulsory.
• Players are requested to bring their own Chess sets & clocks.
• Players played in unauthorized tournament are not allowed to participate.
• One escort is allowed for every four players
• Tournament will be conducted in SWISS SYSTEM.
• Decision of the Chief Arbiter will be final and binding on all matters.
