LEFT FRONT

Disability & Mental Health

There will be social control over private investment in  the health sector. Epidemics and disease prevention will be given priority.  Mental health will also be given importance.

Appropriate rights will be established for people with physical disabilities.

• Camps will be organized for measuring their disability and providing certification.
• The amount and number of allowances will be  increased.
• Arrangements will be made for the education and training of disabled children.
• RPD Act- for persons with physical disabilities and Mental Health  Care Act will be implemented in the interest of persons with  physical and mental disabilities.
• People with disabilities will be brought  under education and vocational training will be given.
• Certificates to be provided to all within one year.

• The monthly allowance will be two  thousand rupees per month in place of present one thousand rupees.

LGBTQI

• Appropriate  arrangements will be made for the third gender (LGBTQIA +).

BJP

Ebar Welfare of Differently Abled 

• We will implement the Central Government’s Unique ID for Person with Disabilities Scheme to  ensure government benefits reach all Divyangs uniformly. 

• We will increase the Divyang pension to ₹3,000 per month and prevent delays in disbursement.

• We will ensure that public spaces such as metro stations, railway stations and bus stops are equipped  with accessible toilets, ramp facilities and braille text. 

• We will implement Divyangjan Swavalamban Yojana Scheme to assist in providing concessional loans  for economic and overall empowerment. 

• We will provide a 50% subsidy for assistive devices such as wheelchairs, prosthetic devices, orthotic devices and hearing aids.

Mental Health

• We will appoint mental health professionals in each district hospital and revamp the state-wide Mental Health Helpline Number.

Ebar Welfare of Transgenders 

• We will improve access to health, education and employment by providing identity cards that will  ease their engagement with institutions. 

• We will introduce gender sensitivity training focusing on the rights of the Transgender community in  all government departments.  

• We will set up a special safety cell to prevent sexual harassment and assaults against the LGBTQ+  community
