National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disability (Divyangjan) (NIEPID) has instituted an yearly Award titled “Dr.Reeta Peshawaria Oration Award” from the year 2013 onwards. The award is sponsored by Dr.Desh Keerthi Menon, former Director of NIEPID and husband of late Dr.Reeta Peshawaria for the professionals from India and abroad engaged in remarkable scientific/ clinical/ research activities in the area of Developmental Disability in Indian Context. Dr.Reeta Peshawaria has been a Faculty of NIEPID since 1985 to 2000. She later moved to the United Kingdom.
Her contributions in the area of Intellectual Disability and Autism are widely acknowledged internationally. All interested Researchers/Professionals working in the field of Developmental Disability and Intellectual Disability may apply for the award by downloading application from NIEPID Website.
