Coming together to strengthen the Christian response to Disability

Engage Disability India 2014 is all about connecting with each other so that, together, we can make a difference in the church and in the lives of people experiencing disability throughout India. This is a big issue, so we will approach it from a variety of angles with plenty of time for dialogue and learning from each other. Some of the topics and questions we will explore include:

Jesus, The Bible, and Disability

What does the bible have to say about disability? Did Jesus model an inclusive lifestyle? Together we will explore answers to these questions and more.

The Inclusive Church

A Church without people with disabilities is itself disabled. How is the church strengthened by members with disability? How do we actively include people with disabilities in our faith communities?

DISABILITY:: The Family Experience

When an individual is affected by disability the entire family shares the experience. What are the unique joys and challenges for these families? How can God’s people share in their stories?

Connecting the curch and the disability sector

Faith without works is dead, and yet if we forget the Gospel in our work it is meaningless. How can the Church and the disability sector strengthen each other?
