IBM Technical Web Contest 2011

Dear Students,
Welcome to the IBM Technical Web Contest 2011, a first round of National level contest hosted by the IBM India University Relations to celebrate the IBM Technical Web Contest 2011Tenth Anniversary of the IBM Software Lab. IBM plays a key role in shaping the smarter world, along with the advancement of Women and Enabling People who are differently Abled at work place. This Contest provides interesting challenge to the top students like you to come up with very innovative ideas that matter for the Society and the World.
We invite you to submit abstracts for the contest, defined clearly across a few Tracks and relevant Technologies. Contest will focus both on engineering and science technologies.
Submissions are open to the students from multiple streams and participants are encouraged to use technologies from open source world. We encourage the team to have atleast one women candidate to celebrate the importance of diversity.

What Next :
Top 100 Ideas will be collated and published keeping in view that this is IBM centennial year celebration. Authoring students will be invited for the second round whose details are provided in the Link. Winners of the Second round will have a chance to present their ideas at a wider scale. There are attractive prizes at each level and future recognition.

Guidelines for Abstract submissions

  • Students from multiple streams can participate.
  • BTECH/MTECH/MCA/PhD Students who are passing out after 2012 are only eligible to participate.
  • Team Size is 1-3 ( Minimum 1 and Maximum 3 ) per entry, of which one female candidate is mandatory in each team.
  • The entries should be submitted only online through the above website.
  • Multiple abstracts can be submitted by a team or individual
  • Each abstract should have a Primary Track and focus Technology defined.

  1. They have not declared results yet. IBM is too slow to respond to result queries
    This competition is not worth recommending to juniors for further years as they do not declare results on time. Its already 7 days left and we are wasting time checking for results again and again
