Lizamma Mathews started the home with humble beginning of five children and two teachers to rehabilitate the mentally handicapped.

Now it has extended 134 inmates. Prior to coming to our home they are left uncared in the street and they were bought to our house for rehabilitation.

We provide them with all basic needs such as shelter, clothes, food and necessary treatment. Also provided with special education through the specially trained teachers.

Atmost care in taken to provide Individual attention in being given to them with human compassion with any discrimination of their age and creed.

Requirement

Expectation from NRI’s / Foreign Citizens:

Presently, the Trust lacks infrastructure facility to take care of the children. The donations presently received are hardly sufficient to cater to the day requirements of the children and the Trust does not have resources to improve the infrastructure facilities. The Trust requests kindhearted NRI’s / Foreign Citizens to assist the organization by providing a one time donation for the purpose of providing infrastructure facilities. The Trust intends to develop the following infrastructure facilities for the children.

* Land
* Special School Building for Mentally Retarded children
* Building for improving Vocational Training
* Shelter to cater to the needs of atleast 150 students
* Health care unit with 5 beds
* Small Play Ground for children

Providing the above facilities require atleast Rs.25 lakhs. The Trust has been registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act and has been allotted FCNRA (# 0760 20008) number for receiving overseas funds.
