MagTech – low vision aid

MagTech is an easy to use, color, portable low vision aid that can assist with tasks such as reading the news paper, sewing, reading the screen of your mobile phone, reading instructions on medicine bottles etc.

It is universally designed device that can be used by people of all ages and connects to any TV of any screen size via the yellow composite input. All TVs whether old or new support the output of the MagTech.

MagTech is flexible in that it allows the user to easily manually adjust the magnification and focus to suit the comfort of the patient.

It has a flexible neck that allows it to point in various angles and is small (measures only 30 cm X 30 cm X 15cm). It consumes only 6W of power and works even in low ambient light as it has built-in automatic white balance (AWB) and automatic gain control (AGC).

It has proven to be popular among people with:

• Compromised vision due to a cataract operation
