Mukthi Learning Centre started in 1990 functioned as a unit at different school setups. Today the centre is functioning as an education centre for learning 
disabled. Children with mild to moderate learning problems are identified from different schools through screening program and the children are assessed by different faculties like psychologist paediatrician, speech pathologist and an educator. The centre focuses on remedial in their academic subjects through the unique way of using instruments like using worksheets and tapping thinking skills by using pneumonic aids.
Team Work: The work is executed in working together with network formed by paediatrician, psychologist, educator, a speech pathologist.
Team join hands in doing work outs to make them use thinking skills, by preparing educative aids through board games.
Library: We have books like child craft, talking books, books with audio cassettes, lady bird series, quiz books etc.
Academics: Multi sensory approach is adopted as teaching tool. Task analysis is done in an informal and acceptable mode to the child. Text is made comprehensive to the child by making them use and understand index, dictionary, introduction, comprehension and written expression.
Work Experience: Children are trained to use and maintain files, organize paper work, prepare an index.
Arts: The art class helps the child to express in playway. Topics are choosen and the children are trained to express ideas. Clay, painting, origami and 3d, 2d craft work are few to mention.
Dramatics: A lesson is chosen to the childs interest and it is dramaticed each child gets best chance to express and organize a play. Puppets are made and used by children.
News Focus: Each child chooses a clipping from news topics from science, stories, poem, sport events. The child writes about the topic read in a concise news matter. Their articles are circulated among friends and families as a news letter.
Computer Unit: The centre has comquest and time concepts educational aids. There is a need for lap top computers for mobile unit.
Future Plans:
Mukthi learning centre which is functioning as a education media centre plans to grow up to an institution and research centre. Requirements to achieve the future plans:
