Muscular Dystropy Association is one of the first schools in India, which aims at working for children suffering from neuro muscular disorders over many 
decades and is leader in our area of Interest and are doing commendable work in the same field. The school is based out at T.Nagar, Chennai.
The scientific program has been formulated to cover a wide spectrum of neuro-muscular disorders focusing on the practical needs of persons with muscle disease. School works for those children who suffer from these genetic diseases develop progressive weakness and degeneration of muscles, restricting their movement. Muscular Dystropy Association in Chennai has tied up with Chennai Corporation and has started a school in 2009 for the special students to bring light in their life and a responsibility to get them happy and engaged in various activities.
Muscular Dystropy School has a state of the art Infrastructure with five large classrooms made uniquely child friendly with paintings of cartoon characters on the walls. The school is barrier free with free access on wheel chairs from the gate to the classrooms. The school also has very carefully chosen Matt finish flooring tiles to avoid skidding for these children as they are very unsteady on their feet and can fall easily.
