Educational requirements:
- A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the part-II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in the sub section (3) of the section 13 of the Act.
- A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
- Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD or qualification recognised equivalent thereto.
- The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

- M.Ch. (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognised course) or qualification recognised equivalent hereto in the respective discipline/subject.
- One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years course recognised after MBBS) or qualification recognised equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates
possessing the 3 years recognized degree of M.Ch. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. - The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
Note:
1. Applicants already in employment in Government/Semi-Government/Corporate Bodies should route their applications through their employers or produce No Objection Certificate (NOC)..
2. The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med.Misc dated 11.06.2012 and to submit such verification certificate along with application.
3. Applicants are required to ensure their eligibility in all respects before applying.
4. Mere fulfilling the minimum educational qualification and experience doesn’t bestow right to a candidate to be called for interview..
5. Accommodation will be provided to the faculty members appointed at the Institute, subject to availability of quarters.
6. AC second class train fare to and fro to the place of interview will be paid on production of tickets to the candidates who are called for interview..
7. Relaxation of upper age limit for OBC (Non-creamy layers)/Ex- serviceman/Handicapped/disabled candidates will also be allowed as per Govt. Rules, where reservations of posts are meant for these categories only.
8. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for Govt. servant in accordance with instruction of Govt. of India.
9. The decision of the Institute’s authority in respect of selection shall be final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
10. Canvassing of any kind will be a disqualification.
11. The appointment to the said post will be subject to medical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated medical authority.
12. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
13. Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof.
