The National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the central government to assist persons with disabilities through various NHFDC schemes.
The MoU was signed between NHFDC and the Department of Disability Affairs of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
According to a press release here, the MoU was signed by Stuti Kacker, Secretary of the Department of Disability Affairs, and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NHFDC Paresh Chandra Das on March 25.
Though this MoU, NHFDC aims to assist persons with disabilities through disbursement of loan of Rs 100 crore, including education loan, micro credits to NGOs and scholarship for more than 2,500 students.
Speaking on the occasion, Das said NHFDC is committed to take all necessary steps to help persons with disabilities through its schemes, the release added.
