DRAI decided to work on the theme “Reclaiming our Pavements and Crossings“. DRAI has been working with the Corporation of Chennai in making pavements of 71 major roads, accessible for all. DRAI conducted repeated access audits of newly laid pavements in some major roads and have submitted reports to Corporation of Chennai. We as well conducted a door to door campaign on civic responsibility to the local residents of KB Dasan road and Besant Nagar 2nd avenue where the pavements have been widened by COC but is encroached by the users.
