Railway Booking of concessional tickets for orthopaedically handicapped / Paraplegic and Mentally retarded persons not accompanied by an escort.
As per IRCA coaching Tariff No. 26 part – I ( Vol, II) 25 and 29(1) concession in passenger fare is admissible to Orthopaedically handicapped / paraplegic persons and Mentally retarded persons who cannot travel without the assistance an escort, At present, Concessional tickets are issued only with an escort.
It has been directed by Hon’ble High Court of Madras that ” the disabled persons who are not accompanied by an escort should no be denied the concession for the disabled”
Ministry of Railways have decided to implement the judgement of Hon’ble High Court of Madras for booking of concessional tickets for Orthopaedically handicapped / Paraplegic and Mentally retarded persons not accompanied by an escort. The Existing and revised rule for booking / travelling shall be as under

Irctc par jab dekhte h handicap qouta me ticket to only sleeper class and 3Ac class ki ticket available batati hai or 2ac or 1ac ke dekhte hai to not available dekhati hai jab ki likha gaya h concession me ki SL or 3ac me 75% or Firct ac and Second ac me 50% hai but Ticket show q ji hoti uska kya karan h koi ko plz pata ho to help karna handicap ki

Sir, Please inform how much amount will charge for sleeper confirmed tickets for cancellation for handicapped concession ticket with escort
Sir, It is appreciable to extend facilities for disabled person that if reqd he can travel alone without attendant if desires so on cencession.
Sir, in December 2016,new act as Rights to disabled act. In new act govt is please to add few more catageries including adding specific disabled persons also for concession in job reservation too.
Necessary circular to that effect be issued to all DMs to up date subordinates knowledge for extending said facilities to sp disabled and other categories also including travel concession also.
