Sensory Integration – FAQs
Sensory Integration, grossly simplified, is the combination of various senses which help in the meaningful understanding of the world found that different senses like vision, touch, smell, and hearing to name a few, were not working coordinately in children with Learning Disability. Thus the child had a distorted perception about himself and the environment. She found out later that these problems were also seen in children with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), etc.
Neurodevelopmental Therapy
NDT stands for NeuroDevelopmental Therapy.Hence it is also called as The Bobath Approach. This approach is used for the treatment of neuromotor dysfunctions like Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Down’s Syndrome, etc.
