The Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) is organising a State Level Public Hearing on “Violation of Rights of Children with Disabilities”. It will be held on 4th February, 2015 in Unit-I, Boys High School, Bhubaneswar at 10 AM to 5 PM.
The four member commission will hear cases of violation of rights of children with disabilities and recommend suitable action for immediate redressal & protection of these rights, District level Authorities have been invited to make available details / action taken in the cases being heard and to implement the recommendations provided by the Commission.
The Commission invites the victim children and their parents, local activists, NGOs, media and all concerned persons to send their complaints to OSCPCR office by person, post, fax or email by 22 January, 2015.

Cases can relate to all aspects of rights violation, such as hurdles & harassment in availing Government entitlements, getting education, addressing health issues, participation in sports, anganwadi centers, accessibility of public spaces and transport used by children, harassment at home or child care institutions, harassment by Government authorities, child labour etc.
