Swastik trust has initiated a center and integrated school namely “Aathichudy Special School” for special education in Chennai ( Adayar) and Kancheepuram. It is a welcoming friendly school where your children can enjoy a nice homely experience and achieve a better result.
The school has been founded mainly to treat the disability to become differentially able. We help the children to explore their hidden talents to attain the noble achievement. We ensure that the children and their families can receive quality services appropriate to their needs.
The school has well equipped with a panel of dedicated, qualified and efficient professionals such as Naturopathy Physician, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist and Special Educators. We receive professional help from volunteers like Psychiatrist, Physiatrist, Pediatrician and clinical Psychologist.
The staffs of our school are always ready to render a vital and rewarding role in their profession. The school provides education and training for all kinds of children with “Developmental Disabilities” such as

- Cerebral palsy
- Learning Disability
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Behavioral Problems
We follow a natural way of curing the developmental disabilities using extra curricular activities like
- Yoga
- Meditation
- Art-N-Crafts
- Music
- Dance
- Swimming and so on.
Our services are not only on institutional based service but on community based services applicable to local masses. Parent awareness and training campaign has been conducted then and there in the rural areas to educate the masses. Our services aim to provide the best treatment so as to help the disabled return to a normal, useful and meaningful life like the common masses.
The children are engaged to entertain many different activities throughout the day. Ample opportunities are provided to each child to socialize and interact with the other. The children are exposed to both individual and group sessions.
- The academic year commences in June.
- The school works from 10.00 Am to 3.00 Pm. ( Monday to Friday )
- Children age between 0 to 14 years is eligible for admission.
- Extra care can be given to the needed after the school hours.
