BRIGHT – The learning Centre, a school for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Dyslexia (learning disabilities) & other developmental Delays, started in the year 2004 with a motto of ” Building a Brighter Tommorow ” and to make them more independent.
The objective of Gnana Deepam is to impart such training so as to make every child self-reliant and reduce the burden for their parents. To achieve this objective the curriculum includes training in toileting, grooming, eating (ADL), vocational skills like weaving, tailoring, block printing, arts & crafts work, greeting cards etc.,
The current premise is sufficient for the present strength of VASANTHAM. However, we require to increase the area of service to meet the demands from increasing number of special children and adults.
To achieve our ultimate objective of inclusion of our children in the society, along with working with children , we simultaneously work towards creating awareness, understanding and acceptance of autism
One of the most challenging aspects of teaching a child with special needs is the realization that this child has come to our centre with a mission which we will be a part of. It is for us to discover this and serve the child in our journey together.
In 2010, we look back with great satisfaction. We have over 220 students and 70 well trained dedicated teachers and staff. We have created trust and confidence among parents and students. We are continuously learning and applying new ways of teaching and helping our students and parents face the challenges confidently and boldly
Smiling innocent faces and curious sparkling eyes will welcome you as you walk into Swabodhini ?a special school for special children. Despite the disturbing fact that these children are unlike ordinary children, it is very much inspiring to see the confidence and determination in them. This puts them a level above.
Navadisha Montessori Institute was established in 2004 to meet the growing need for Montessori training in Chennai. The mission of the Institute is to offer training of a high standard, helping graduates integrate theory and practice.
Maruti Seva Centre for Special Education was started with three special children on 31st January 1999 at Kambar Nagar, Kolathur, Chennai -99. Maruti Seva Centre for Special Education was registered as Maruti Seva Trust on 26th October 2001.
