தமிழ்நாடு வீட்டுவசதி வாரியத்தின் திட்டங்களின், மனை / வீடு / அடுக்குமாடி குடியிருப்பு ஒதுக்கீட்டில், மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் 1 விழுக்காடு இட ஒதுக்கீட்டை 3 விழுக்காடாக உயர்த்தி வழங்க எனது தலைமையிலான அரசு முடிவெடுத்துள்ளது என்பதை தமிழக முதலமைச்சர் ஜெயலலிதா தெரிவித்துள்ளர்.

தமிழக அரசின் திட்டம் – பார்வையற்ற குழந்தைகளை ஆரம்ப நிலையிலேயே கண்டறிந்து தீவிர பயிற்சி வழங்கி, பிரெய்ல் எழுத்துக்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி அவர்களை சாதாரண பள்ளியில் உள்ளடங்கிய கல்வி பெற தயார்படுத்துதல்.
வழி காட்டும் திட்டம்
மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு மறுவாழ்வு அளிப்பதே இத்திட்டத்தின் நோக்கமாகும். இத்திட்டம் 32 மாவட்டகளிலும் அரசு சாரா தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள் மூலம் நடைமுறைபடுத்தப்படுகிறது. ஒவ்வொரு கிராம பஞ்சாயத்திலும் ஓரு நலப்பணியாளரும்,மற்ற இடங்களில் 6000 மக்கள் தொகை கொண்ட இடங்களில் நலப்பணியாளரும், ஒரு லட்சம் மக்கள் தொகை கொண்ட இடங்களில் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளரும் நியமிக்கப்படுகின்றனர். மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கு அரசு திட்டங்களைப் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதும்,மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளை கண்டறிவதும் அவர்களுக்கு தேவையான சேவைகளை செய்வதும் நலப்பணியாளருக்கும், ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்களின் பணிகளாகும்.
