The school was started in June 2003 with 20 special children with disabilities like- Autism, downs syndrome, mental retardation, learning difficulties, cerebral palsy and others.
This holistic development will be achieved through the multifarious services and therapies, which are provided in a structured, positive and empathetic environment at Chrysalis.
we focus on holistic development of the child by multidisciplinary approach which we achieve by providing services like Occupational therapy, Sensory integration, Speech and language therapy, Augmentative and Alternate communication, Special education and Facilitation of social skill and play.
It started its operation by mainly spreading awareness and teacher training. Children were given remedial help outside school hours. School centers were being setup with our help. Itinerant teaching was offered to schools, which did not have their own centers, but wanted to help their children.
Saraswathi Kendra Learning Centre for Children in 1985. Saraswathi Kendra provides those supplements necessary for the all-round development of the child. Any child whose life is disturbed by problems that interfere with school performance and inter-personal relationships can benefit from this programme.
The Mind Research Foundation is a Non Govt. Organization, started with the motto of “serving for healthy mind”. TMRF is working for the enhancement ofquality life of the differently challenged people.
The Institution is associated with various Government sponsored social welfare programmes including training courses in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. The Institutions have excelled in their own spheres of activity and have made a mark for themselves in the education map of the region.
Autism is a brain disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate, form relationships with others and respond appropriately to the environment, though children with autism do not have exactly the same symptoms and defects, they tend to share certain social, communication, motor and sensory problems that affect their behavior in predictable ways.
Autism research exhibits analytical threads, but patterns remain fragmented lacking a unified concept. Breakthroughs in molecular mechanisms and genomics explore new dimensions of information processing capabilities of the brain.
