St.Peter Paul Educational and Cultural Trust (SPECT) is a pioneer Non Governmental Organization in Villupuram District, Tamilnadu, India. The trust started in 1991 when a group of energetic young teachers, academics and social scientists joined together and implemented solutions for children with disabilities and Dalit children. The NGO manages two schools in this rural area: St. Peter Paul Special Residential School for Disabled Children in Mugaiyur and St. Peter Paul Primary School for Dalit Children in Puravadai.

Mr. Chauhan was among the survivors of the serial train blasts on July 11, 2006 which claimed over 180 lives. That day he had left for home early when a bomb exploded in the suburban local at Khar Road station. His spinal cord was damaged due to the explosion and some particles are still embedded in his chest and close to the trachea.

He has a family of two sisters and ageing parents to support .He lost his hearing ability during his 11th year due to an accident and his school education was truncated and was listless in life.
