The world’s most highly skilled contestants of disabilities will gather in one location, here in Seoul, where we can all once again proudly watch them prove their excellent talents. As the honorary chairman of the IA Seoul 2011 Organizing Committee, I promise that the festival will be top-quality. I will guarantee fairness, provide more enjoyment to the global festival for persons with disabilities, and will try my best to provide everyone a safe and comfortable environment.
The National Abilympic Association of India was formed in May 2001 at the behest of the Minitrsies of Social Justice & Empowerment and Human Resource Development, Government of India to serve as a nodal agency to formulate, initiate and implement policies to propogate Abilympics in the country.
Abilympics (Olympics of abilities) are vocational skills competitions (not sports) for persons of all disabilities. In 1972, the Japan Association for Employment of the Disabled, under the Ministry of Labour, held the Olympics of Abilities.
Give the visually imapired participants new experience of alternative photography, cultivate their inner creative abilities and to make exhibition quality photographs. Skills required for participants: Visually impaired should have basic knowledge of photography and has been taking pictures.
