AHAP Centre has a full-fledged team with an ENT Consultant, Audiologists, Speech Therapists, Technicians, Outreach Coordinator with the administrative staff to serve the people… Our centre has a full time Speech Therapist and we give Speech Therapy to adults and children with hearing disability as well as other disabilities like autism, Cerebral Palsy, etc.
Anbagam Special Educational Trust (ASET) is recognized for providing special care and training to all children fulfilling their special needs. We have implemented Individualized Education Program based on individualized assessment for the purpose. The school gives training to children according to their nature, capability and severity of disability. Based on each child’s level of functioning, teaching aids and learning materials are preferred to benefit them. We give additional attention to each child with a view to improve their activities of daily living, functional academic skills, and many more.

MUKTI has been involved in fitting custom made artificial limbs and hands to amputees in India. This is done by setting up camps in and around Chennai and Andhra Pradesh and in Nepal. First International camp using HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) technology was conducted at St. Lucia in West Indies, in Association with Rotary International.
A large number of rural based disabled children hailing from the poor socio-economic background are deprived of opportunities for medical & other rehabilitation services. The Council through its well-knit District level Councils & network of other NGO’s receive such children at the Chennai based residential Child Care Center. They are provided with services like surgeries, physiotherapy, orthotics aids, counseling, special school and sponsorship assistance.
The IPD Orthopaedic Center was inaugurated by Smt. Indira Gandhi in 1960 It takes care of the rehabilitation of physically and mentally handicapped and spastic children. It has therapy wards brace workshop , a residential hostel, vocational rehabilitation unit and mentally challenged children units. It has treated more than 50,000 children and adults mostly polio afflicted, by providing corrective surgery mobility aids and education. Three of our boys have taken part in Special Olympics held at Atlanta and won Gold medals in Hand Ball and one boy won a Copper medal held Dublin 2003.
