To make education accessible for the differently-abled, the Sarva Shiksha Abiyan- along with the Spastic Society of Tamil Nadu and Vidhyasagar- on Tuesday conducted a screening camp for the differently abled children in the Triplicane zone.
Residential care is provided to 120 children in a homely atmosphere. The children are selected based on their family background, socio-economic condition of the families and other factors, which are essential to place a mentally challenged child in a residential care center.
Vidya sagar is a voluntary organization based in Chennai, Tamil nadu, India. The organization works with children and young adults with cerebral palsy and other neurological disabilities, their families and the communities they live in.
