Marriage assistance is given to normal person who marries a Visually impaired person. Total assistance given is Rs.25,000/-. If either the Differently Abled person or a normal person is holding degree or Diploma, the Marriage Assistance amount is Rs. 50,000/-
Braille watches are distributed to the working visually impaired persons to enable them to reach work place in time.
Goggles and Folding sticks are being distributed to needy Visually impaired persons to enable them to walk freely and independently as well as to protect from sunlight and moisture.
3% jobs in Government Departments / Government Undertakings, Boards and Universities have been exclusively Reservation of jobs for Differently Abled (1% each for Visually Impaired, Speech and hearing impaired and locomotor Differently Abled) persons.
2% Reservation of Teaching Posts of the teaching posts are to be filled up with Visually impaired .
The Visually impaired students are given readers allowance. Readers allowance is being paid at the following rate: 1. IX Std. to XII Std. Rs.3000/- (per annum) 2. Degree courses Rs.5000/- ( per annum) 3. Post Graduate and Professional Rs.6000/- (per annum) courses
Scholarship for students studying from 9th Std. to 12th Std, Rs.4000/- per annum; For Degree Courses Rs.6000/- per annum. For P.G., Medical, Engineering, Vocational Courses and other Professional Courses. Rs.7000/- per annum.
