Little Flower Convent Higher Secondary School for the Deaf is located at the heart of the city of Chennai. It was established in 1926 by the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and was recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1931. It was upgraded as a High School in 1968 and as a Higher Secondary School in 1980.
Disha Foundation is a registered charitable trust established on November 16, 2006 at Chennai. The founders and the members of Disha are mostly youngsters in the mid twenties, from different localities and backgrounds.
Nethrodaya, which operated from rented houses for six years, built its own building in Chennai in 2008 on land allotted by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Between 2002 and 2009, 327 students benefited from Nethrodaya.
