Indian wheelchair Tennis Tour (IWWT) works to promote and develop wheelchair tennis in India.
You may want to take on this sport to keep yourself fit and healthy or you may want to be a professional wheelchair tennis player. IWTT’ The First Serve workshop is the place to explore wheelchair tennis
IWTT’ is bringing it’s workshop to Mumbai very soon.
In this workshop you will not only know all that you wanted to know about wheelchair tennis but also get to experience and learn basics of wheelchair tennis. And if you like the sport you will be part of a regular coaching program.
Who can participate ?
Any person who has disability in one or both of his/her lower limbs.
Any age restriction?
Tennis has no age bar. However for kids below the age of 15 years there will be separate program
Should you be a wheelchair user to play this sport ?
No. This sport is played by sitting on a specially designed wheelchair. Learning the Mobility skills on these wheelchair is part of training and coaching. So you need not be wheelchair user to explore wheelchair tennis and its benefits.
Should i have my own sport Wheelchair
No the sport wheelchair will be made available during the workshop.
Are there any tournaments in India ?
Yes. Three all india Open tournaments recognised by All India Tennis Association. For more details visit www.iwtt.in

About IWTT
There is a growing need to develop recreational and competitive wheelchair tennis in India. Since 2016, IWTT has been pioneering efforts towards promoting the sport and changing mindsets about the abilities of persons with disabilities in India.
