FAME Academy under FAME India, Bangalore proposes to conduct a 2 day Workshop on “The Stages of Play and its Importance in Stimulating Development in Children with Developmental Delay”. This highly interactive and participative course will include case studies, group discussions, video films, practical skills, role plays and personal coaching on child development skills.
Training Group: Special Educators, Main Stream Teachers, Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Parents & Montessori Teachers.
Goal:This workshop will enable the participants to gain knowledge and Skills in understanding the importance of play and use play to stimulate different areas of development in Children with Developmental delays.
Workshop Fees : Rs.2,000 per Participant
Training Objectives :
On conclusion of the workshop, the Participants will be able to
- List out the importance of providing play opportunities for children.
- Illustrate the importance of neurogenesis and its role in development .
- Assess a child’s stage of play.
- Plan and Execute intervention using stage appropriate toys and activities.
- Challenge a child in his/her current stage of play to facilitate progress.
- Execute play activities that diverts the child’s self-stimulatory behavior towards meaningful engagement.
