The process of recruiting disabled employees began initially as a CSR iniative but we soon learned the business case in recruiting PWD and this then became a regular HR process.

The main objectives of the National Trust are to enable and empower persons with disabilities to live as independently and as fully as possible, to extend support to registered organisations providing need based services, and to evolve procedure for appointment of legal guardians for persons with disabilities requiring such protection. The Government of India has provided Rs.100 crores toward the corpus of the Trust. The income generated from the corpus is utilized to implement its programmes.
The Government has also set up 20 vocational Rehabilitation Centres. The main purpose of these centers is to evaluate the capabilities of disabled clients. They also sponsor candidates to potential employers.
The Vocational Rehabilitation centre for Differently abled at chennai has been established by the Government of India Ministry of Labour & Employment under the Directrorate Ceneral of employment and Training in the year 1976.
