Little Flower Convent Higher Secondary School for the Deaf

Little Flower Convent Higher Secondary School for the Deaf is located at the heart of the city of Chennai. It was established in 1926 by the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and was recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1931. It was upgraded as a High School in 1968 and as a Higher Secondary School in 1980.

எண்ணிக்கை அடிப்படையில் பார்க்கப்போனால் என்.ஜி.ஓ.க்களை ஒப்பிடும்போது டி.பி.ஓ.க்கள் மிக மிகக் குறைவு. கேலிபர், ஆர்விக், அக்‌ஷயா போன்ற சில அமைப்புகள் தமிழக அளவில் டி.பி.ஓ.க்களாக சிறப்பாக செயல்படுகின்றன. தமிழகத்திலேயே அதிகளவில் (சுமார் 1,14,000) மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் வசிக்கும் மாவட்டம் என்பதால், கோவையை தலைமையகமாக கொண்டு இவர்களுக்கான அமைப்புகள் பலவும் இயங்குகின்றன.
