Channeling the goodwill of communities: Very often, people of a community want to help those in need, but do not know how they can contribute, or 
don’t have the free time to make a significant individual contribution. At Udhavum Ullangal, we channel the goodwill of community members, organizing and coordinating contributions, so as to effectively bring help to people in need.
Bringing hope to people in need: So, at heart, we are a collection of ordinary people who want to help those in need. Yet, that simple goal makes us so much more.
We have become a united team of volunteers who are drawn towards the pressing needs of the underprivileged, the distressed, the sick, and the differently-abled. These disadvantaged individuals can have no hope for the future unless their communities find within themselves the determination to help.
Aid to Differently Abled
Support to the differently abled covers a full spectrum – we supply monthly provisions, help build shelters, support better livelihoods, and offer financial support for landmark events such as marriages. As the children of the differently abled are also affected by the impairment, we also focus on supporting their education.
Education
Educating underprivileged children is the surest way to help them script a better future. We support a large number of children with educational sponsorship. We also go beyond financial assistance to improve the quality of learning by addressing aspects like school infrastructure, family environment, all round development, and appropriate guidance.
Aid to NGOs
Small NGOs have a big heart but not much support. Without the networks, contacts, and resources available in the city, they struggle to find the funds they need. We help such NGOs by contributing from the funds we raise for their activities or connecting them to other potential supporters.
