Your writing make me enthusiastic to write few words/ view about exemption for Divyang. Read support and share my views to all my Divyang Brothers & Sister.
Scheduled Tribe people are exempted from paying income tax under section 10 (26) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
But Divyang are getting only ₹. 75000/- below 80% disability and ₹. 125000/- above 80% disability—-with a view to made good their extra medical expenses.
My humble submission is that constitution article may be ammended accordingly to give 100% Income Tax ememption because Divyang are specially enabled person rather than Schedule Tribes.
1. The maximum age for Central govt services is 38 years so disable person get opportunity to serve 22 years. In case of state govt it is 48 years ( with relaxation Age). So they get opportunity for 12 years of service.
As per NPS the amount they get marely 20 lacs and 9 lacs around.
Therefore Next Budget 2021 it should declare optional NPS or OPS for the Divyang (person with disabilities). For the working Divyang employees as well as New appointment also.
Recently DoPT given one chance to all candidates on the basis of joining after 2004 under different administrative delay.
But it should must for Divyang.
2. For Divyang employees as they suffer from physical ailment frequently the HPL (Half Pay Leave generally considered as Medical Leave duly certified by Medical Officer as of now) should be double ie. 60 days in place of 30 days like double transportation allowances.
We the disabilty persons should have to be given concessions,it should to be reframe.
